I have a three level town house 5 minutes from New Carrollton Metro station and 495. The floor plan is very open. Lower floor is a large dining room and garage. Middle floor is a living room/kitchen/dining area. The third floor has 3 bedrooms. The third room may be used for storage. I have one dog-a very friendly huskie/lab/shepard mix. He's a puppy so he's hyper but he's sweet and not the least bit intimidating.
