These Terms of Use govern access to and use of RoommateNation. By using the site, creating an account, posting a profile, or contacting another member, you agree to these terms.

Who Can Use RoommateNation

You may use RoommateNation only if you can legally enter into a binding agreement and if the information you provide is accurate, current, and your own. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that occurs under it.

Member Profiles and Listings

You are responsible for the content you submit, including photos, descriptions, pricing, availability, preferences, and messages. Content must not be false, misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, harassing, or infringe on another person's rights.

By uploading content, you grant RoommateNation a non-exclusive license to host, display, format, and use that content for operating and improving the service.

Safety and Independent Judgment

RoommateNation is a platform for introductions and information sharing. We do not guarantee the identity, intent, conduct, quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any member, listing, property, or opportunity. You are solely responsible for screening potential roommates, verifying listings, reviewing lease terms, inspecting properties, and deciding whether to enter into any arrangement.

Prohibited Use

You may not use RoommateNation to break the law, impersonate another person, scrape or copy the service, send spam, spread malware, interfere with site operations, or post content that is abusive, fraudulent, or discriminatory. We may remove content or restrict access when we believe use of the service creates risk for other members or for the platform.

Messages and Communications

If you contact another member through the platform, you agree to communicate respectfully and only for legitimate roommate or housing-related purposes. We may monitor platform activity for security, abuse prevention, and service operations, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to the site at any time if we believe these terms have been violated, if an account poses a security or legal risk, or if the service needs to be changed or discontinued.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

RoommateNation is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoommateNation disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoommateNation will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, housing opportunities, or personal injury arising out of or related to use of the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms become effective when posted on this page. Your continued use of RoommateNation after an update means you accept the revised terms.
