I'm writing on behalf of my husband, Kevin, who is looking for a room to rent in the Apopka/Orlando area for himself and possibly our sweet boxer, Honey. I need to spend about a year in West Virginia, but Kevin would really like to stay in Florida during this transition. Kevin is a super simple, laid-back guy who enjoys good burgers, pizza, music, fishing, playing games, and fixing just about anything. He's a strong, protective, good-hearted man who genuinely enjoys being helpful. He's the kind of guy who can figure out how to fix almost anything, lend a hand with a project, or just be a reassuring presence around the house. He has always made me feel safe and looked after. He could be an especially great fit for someone who lives alone, would appreciate having a dependable male presence in the home, or could use help with repairs, maintenance, yard work, and general upkeep. He's also cool with a room in a full house, we just want to find something safe for him and Honey. **We're also very open to discussing a reduced rent arrangement in exchange for help around the property.** Kevin is extremely handy and capable, so if you have projects that need attention or could use ongoing help maintaining your home, we'd love to explore an arrangement that's beneficial for everyone. Honey is our four-year-old boxer. She's well-trained, affectionate, and a wonderful companion. We're open to furnished or unfurnished rooms, and Kevin doesn't need anything fancy. He's happiest with a simple, comfortable place to call home, some good music, and the occasional fishing trip. This is an unusual transition for our family, and it would mean so much to me to know that Kevin and Honey have a welcoming, stable place to land while we're temporarily living in different states.
